    Strike Industries S3 Sling

Last week, Strike Industries from Santa Ana, CA introduced the S3, or "Silent Strategic System," rifle sling.

The design philosophy of this unpadded sling is to minimize noise through the maximization of stealth. This is accomplished through the use of Kevlar loop attachments instead of other popular sling attachments like quick detach sling swivels or HK or MASH hooks, thus eliminating noise from those popular attachment solutions.

YKK Hamerloc buckles are used to detach the sling, but again in keeping with the "silent" in the S3 name, the buckles are concealed with an elastic nylon to mask possible sounds.

Other features of the S3 sling includes:
    - constructed from 1000D nylon webbing,
    - durable Kevlar loops able to withstand more than 300 pounds of force,
    - concealed YKK Hamerloc buckles,
    - double stitched reinforcement,
    - adjustable allowing for use as a two-point or single-point sling, and
    - Easily adjusts to be used as a two point sling or one point sling.

The S3 sling will be available via Strike Industries' website, here, in black and "coyote tan" for $25.95.
