    need help with sling

Hi all I have been looking for sling for a while now and I need help. I know I want a 2 point padded with quick detach. I am 5'6 and would like something easily adjustable. Any help would be great thanks all.

Look at the Blue Force Gear 2 point. Not sure if they still make the Vickers model, but those are great.

I also like the Viking Tactics.. http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho..._vikingtactics

I think the first post about nailed it. I run a Viking Tactics padded 2 point and can't imagine a more comfortable sling. I've also tried a Gear Sector single point which I no longer use and a Magpul MS3 that is great but I really like the padding on the Viking. The Viking I have uses qd's on both ends.

Agree with VCAS. I was able to get them with the QD swivels sewn instead of threaded and that's a really nice feature.

+1 on the VCAS. But I use the non-padded version.

Thanks for all your help I will take a look at it. Should I get a quick detach end plate or just attach it to the stock? Thanks

Well that's a whole separate discussion. You'll find many different views on that topic. Personal preference and application will drive the answers.

I prefer the rear stock mount for reasons like transitioning between shoulders and securing the rifle during movement.

I agree with the above post. I installed a Noveske QD endplate but I use the end of the stock to attach to. When attached to the end plate the sling is right against your face a bit. I would attach the other end of the sling right near the end of the upper receiver. Personal preference I believe though.

I have Noveske endplates on all my rifles, but I've moved away from them toward attaching to the stock on the strong side. It's absolutely a personal preference thing.

I have both the Viking Tactics (VTAC) and the Blue Force Gear Vicker's Combat Applications Sling (VCAS) and I MUCH prefer the VCAS.
