My bestest buddy... turned 12 on Monday.I see him as more of a person than most people I know...
But if it must have a human in it,
This was a total pain in the rear to get... was out shrimping, alone. I managed to get my camera on the rocks I was anchored near and set the timer and madly rowed my dingy back to try and get a shot. I deleted a LOT of images, but it was a fun way to spend 4 hours waiting for my pots to fill up.-----------------------------------------------

Sounds like you lead quite the exciting life. My number one hobby (probably even more so than firearms) is fishing. Didn't get to go much this summer, and the bass are starting to feed really nice here in MD right now. Did manage to place 5th in one of the larger tournaments of the year (minus the pro tourneys) here on the Potomac.

Let's try this again... working on my image hosting site
the 5 Amigos awaiting the shrimp pots to fill up
Nothing better than shrimp straight out of the pot, thrown in simmering butter
by-product of letting shrimp pots soak too long (but it's a gooood thang!)
that's why we do it...
tasty buggers
(I think it's working now... anyone NOT seeing the images?)Last edited by SwissyJim; 28 October 2014 at 00:15.

I've started doing a bit of post-processing on my photos. I find that the darker colors come out a lot less noisy. I am pretty happy about the settings I have now. What say you?

Here is a macro shot that I took a couple years ago right when I first started learning to take photos. (Right after I bought my first SLR camera)

Thank you!
Occassionally I shoot macro photography but on this one I managed to get lucky to be right there when the action when down. I have a whole series of it. The funny thing is I took that shot about two weeks after buying my first ever proper camera. Macro is a whole other world...but I do try and take regular pictures too
