    Mine is a Gen 1 that I bought back in 2002 and it was a good purchase, especially given the stupidly low amount I paid for it. It is maintenance intensive, though, but I suppose lots of high-end watches are. Thankfully Omega picks up the bill for that with mine.

    But for getting beat up on patrol work, I still wear a sub $300 G-Steel G-Shock.

    I really like being able to configure a watch through the bluetooth.

    Hmm that's nifty. I like my Solar G-Shock for work. It's beat to hell and I don't have to feel bad about it.

    What is the the little fan like circle at the 9 oclock on the G shock?

    Just rotates when you change modes. Does nothing functionally.

    Thanks. I went on their website and looked at the specs but couldn't figure it out. I was going to guess it was the solar panel... Nice watch though!
