I hadn't really thought about it. I used to wear a watch all the time but as I think about it I realize I haven't worn a watch now in probably the last 10 years - maybe more. I've had some nice ones in my life too. I think my favorite was my Seiko self winding chronograph. A close 2nd to that one was my diving watch that was good to a depth of 400 meters when I used to do a lot of scuba diving. The problem with wearing the diving watch for every day though was the rubber wrist band for two reasons. 1) it caused the wrist to sweat under the band and it could get stinky within a day of just normal working. 2) the rubber wrist band had a limited life span of around a year if worn as a daily watch.
Come to think of it, I may still have a Star Trek II video game watch in it's original box. If I do still have it in my foot locker, perhaps I'll just get a new battery for it and start wearing it for the fun of it Gotta go look in my foot locker now!Freedom is NEVER Free. We have to work to protect it and even be willing to die to protect it.

Had my 1970 Zodiac completely refurb'ed - still wear it. Don't know if there are current models, or if they are any good, but this one took a licking and is still ticking. Bought it at the Navy Yard PX in DC.
