That looks really nice Griffon. I love how the front strap matches the grips.

Even more reason to get back up here quicker. We need to see what that AR45 is doing now.

Thanks! Was a stainless gun, of many stainless guns. Tired of it, was my beater pistol but one of my favorites. LGS killed it with the battleworn bronze cerakote along with the majority of work. Steve at MARS Armament did the front strap work.

You know I didn't even notice it was cerakoted. I thought that was legit wear. Yeah, it's killer. Makes me want a 1911 all over again.

You said beater pistol, were you carrying it? How is that with the extended threaded barrel?

OWB for this one, and most all my holsters are for Gov sized 1911, so the threaded barrel shouldn't be an issue. That's new, and I haven't carried it like that yet. I'm a bigger guy, so barrel length isn't an issue, it's grip size concealment. Wanted to run a can on one of my 1911s, so this one was the choice, as it's the one I grab first (Although my Glock has been my nightstand gun lately).

Here was the gun before. All factory, is the best shooter I have. I've put a couple of hundred rounds through it now, and I really like the flat trigger on it. Still my most accurate 1911, and easy to shoot.

I run this IWB or in a belt slide, but I prefer a full size grip - the magwell does help:
