    BAD-ASS Install Trouble

I am stuck on installing the BAD-ASS Ambi Selector:

Mega Ambi Billet set, ALG Trigger group (QMS)

After watching install videos and reading posts about this install, I still cannot make it happen. The trigger is slightly to high in the lower to allow the ambi core to pass through. Does anyone have any advice on this?

    TIA!

Is the trigger in spec? I only ask because Battle Arms is so OCD, their parts are usually not the issue. Sometimes I've been able to get around this by installing the BAD-ASS first and then inserting the trigger under the BAD ASS Core.

I know it's probably a stupid question to ask but did you try slipping it in at both the fire/safe positions

Just take the trigger out. Some lowers won't allow the correct sequence of installation but most will let you wedge the trigger in after the safety.

Cock the hammer before installing the selector. If that doesn't work, remove the trigger group and install the selector first. You should be able to wedge the disconnector under the selector. Sometimes they're tight.

    Here's what you can do:

First install the BAD-ASS without the trigger installed:

Slide the trigger inside the receiver and under the BAD ASS. It maybe snug, but it should fit.

    Insert the Trigger Pin:

I had a similar problem with a BAD-ASS, a ALG ACT and a Noveske Gen 2 (even with the hammer cocked.) When I looked straight through the selector holes, maybe an eight of an inch of the ttrigger assembly was clearly visible. Pressing down on the rear of the trigger had no effect - it wasn't gonna move. Rest assured that you didn't do anything wrong and the parts will fit.

Don't force the core through the receiver. I didn't even have to remove the trigger. First, watch the Geissele install method for the SSA trigger from his web site. It'll get you familiar with his third-hand methodology and get you used to freely moving and wiggling the receiver while installing parts.

Then re-try installing the Bad-ASS, hammer cocked. Rotate the selector while applying gentle pressure from the left side of the receiver, jiggle the reciever a bit as you do this. If that doesn't work, try installing the BAD-ASS from the right side (its ambi, after all), again rotating the selector as you install (that's when it popped in for me). Failing that, you pull the trigger and install the BAD-ASS first, then use the method above ( again, reference the Geissele videos for some good tips).
