I love it! Do you have to buy a whole new stock or can you add the sopmod section to the original stock that came out a while back? I know it's modular.

That's nice! I really like BCM's original stock. It's nice to see more options being added to the line-up.

Interesting concept. I hope they use heli-coils or steel inserts for the threads. I can see aluminum stripping rather quickly if you play with the configuration a lot, or just torque the shit out of it. Whats on the 6 o'clock position?

The threads are cold rolled vs tapped. We played around with the numbers on pullout strength vs cost vs longevity, and tested pretty extensively - there is enough meat on the extrusion to easily add helicoils in the future if there are issues.

I had no idea you were with Manticore Arms. I have parts from you guys on every Sig 556 I own. Nice to see you all making AR components now.

How about another run of the Sig safeties? Lol The Scorpion grips were great also.

Didn't give enough info :-) I own KM3 Solutions, I worked with Manticore Arms on this project - the panel system is my design, and Sven (@ Manticore) and I share a patent on that, the forend itself is a collaboration - I try to be careful posting about any of that stuff since I'm not a site sponser yet (although I think about to change that).

I can't speak on other Manticore Arms stuff, but Sven is a good guy and makes good stuff - I can though answer questions about this forend / the panel system in general. We've got both longer and shorter versions completely modeled and sorted out, it's just a matter of moving some of these before Manticore will likely get them out onto the market.

I can't say for sure on the lengths in case anything changes, but should be in the "extended carbine" range, and the "15+" range :-)
