I was pleasantly surprised with mine. I couldn't find any marks on it, and the gas key was actually staked pretty well! Certainly not top notch by any means, but so far it looks like I got pretty lucky

Funny that my BCM BCG has tool marks all over it. Both the Parallax and AIM both look better.
Hell even some cheapo "Omega Manufacturing" BCG I have that is a friend's is smoother.

    BCM BCG

Believe it or not these were taken with my old phone.

I think the NiB helps bring out all the imperfections.

I've not used TiN, but I don't want NiB. It failed on my V7 BCG by flaking and chipping. They warrantied it and I won't use it again. I have heard better reports of NP3 which is why I have spares from Sionics. I hope you guys have better luck.

There has been only a couple hundred on my AIM but a few thousand on the BCM and it's perfect. Granted I don't clean it much either though. I think I've only cleaned it twice since owning it.

Maybe there is something under the grime but I don't think so.

I'll be sure to beat on the Parallax in the future.

I have a couple thousand rounds on a nickel boron parallax BCG. It's no longer shiny but has no issues at all.

Nah, I'd just wipe it down and run it!

Normally I just throw a little lube on it and go. I wanted to see at what point it would stop. 2200 rounds later and its still going. Cleaned her once so far.

    That's typically what I do.

Yes, I believe they were Gen I's that were polished? I can't recall.

Did Joe ever sell polished versions? I don't remember - but it seems vaguely familiar.
