I really want to build a 7.62 after I finish my current "last" build, but have been shamelessly envious of Jerry R's SIG ever since he reviewed it. Price wise, I think the SIG makes more sense, but the fun of building (I swear it) another very last build in .308 would be lost on the SIG.

FT build it. Unfortunately I will not be able to build a 7.62 rifle this year. I have the NTD build and the wife wants a H&K P30. So next year is the timeline for my long rifle build

Did someone say P30? Make sure you hook the lady up... great pistol.

As far as the 762 builds, I was working on 2 partial Mega MATEN Builds, but I'm definitely picking up a CMT Set as I have an extra .308 barrel. It's funny how a great picture of an item pushes you over the edge on getting something.

We went down to Canton to visit Joe at Dakota Tactical and to pick up some stuff Jason Koons left for us. Christina got to play around with Joe's P30 and she definitely wants one. I was to busy playing with the UMP 40, MP5N and the HK 416 he had on hand to even look at the P30 :). But if she wants it she will get it.

Think I will be dropping the side charger idea and pick up either the CMT billet set or see how the RA set turns out. Either way I got some time haha.

I think both the Mega and CMT are top notch. The CMT has the advantage price wise however, over $100 less in price. I'd give the slight edge to Mega in the finish department (of course that has nothing to do with how it shoots and functions)

It probably just boils down to what you like the looks of better. You can also wait for the Rainier Arms set to come out. Should be here by summer.

I like the lines of this better than their AR-15 set.
