Knights Armament SR-30 Upper
I have no experience with 300 Blackout so is the 11.5" a good length for it?

300 BLK performs well in SBR, so you can expect very little performance compromise in very short barrels like 8". So basically anything from 8-16 should be good.
That said, considering the good performance of the very short barrels, personally I'd go as short as I could go like the Noveke 8.2" in an SBR or a 16" if not SBRing.

24 March 2014, 22:21 #3300 BLK from a 9 inch barrel has the same energy at the muzzle as a 14.5 inch barrel M4, and about 5% more energy at 440 meters - even though the barrel is much shorter.
9" would be optimal but I'm sure 11" would be fine.Last edited by Deckard; 25 March 2014 at 00:01.

300 Blackout really shines on shorter barrels. I've really been satisfied with my 8.2 Noveske and 8.5 Rainier Barrels. If you find some 11.5 KAC uppers in stock, let me know, I may have to follow suit and get one as well.

I don't know if this is allowed, but I may have a 16" KAC 300 Blk upper available soon
