One came back this morning, so filed on 4/1, approved on 4/28. Not bad. This was one for my new SPEAR LT 11.5" 5.56 / 9" 300 AAC; still waiting for the stamp for the PTR 9K

It was my first time sending in one set of prints together for two applications, so hopefully that doesn't create any issues.

I've sent up to 6 with one set of prints, no problems.

I just sent 12 and 10 with one set of prints each before the "ban" here and the approvals have started to trickle in.

Got 7 of 22 approved so far in the last week or so.

One interesting note, they've approved several that are listed with OAL of less than 30"...which I didn't know how they'd interpret that portion of the new law here/

Just a quick question ... do the lowers have to be engraved?

Yes, I do mine on the bottom next to the cutout for the trigger. And out of an abundance of caution since most lowers are marked as "multi", I also engrave the caliber as registered on the Form 1 on the other side of the trigger cutout.

My two SBRs have the engraving on the bottom of the trigger guard. Then again all of my ARs are billet and the design allows for it. Unless you are looking for the engraving you won't see it. Eventually I will probably do more Form 1s, but I am not UWone doing 22 in one swoop...

The guy that does my engraving has a rotary engraving machine. I really like that type of engraving. If/When I do other types/brands of lowers I will probably have to figure out good places on the lower to do the engraving that don't stick out or look out of place.

Still 8+ months. So far the new system hasn't resulted in 90 day turn around times
