Approved 09/15/2016 *and there was an error with the serial number that was submitted so it would have been a little faster without having to resubmit the correction

Damn that's a long time to wait for a toy that's been paid for.

It sure is. That's the worst part about playing the NFA game, at least with Form 4s. It's not necessarily the wait that annoys me, but the fact that i've paid for something that i won't get to use for nearly three quarters of a year, in this case. To add insult to injury, Uncle Sam takes their $200 cut immediately, so you're out price of the item and the "tax" to exercise a constitutionally protected right. I've still got two items in NFA jail that will take at least as long to clear. But it feels good when you finally go pick them up to take home, and you leave the gun store with new toy and didn't have to spend any money.

ETA: I just noticed my typo. LOL!

One lesson learned.... always pay by check. Submitted my stamp 3 months earlier, and got it 1 month later than my check submitted applications. I don't know if it was a fluke, but apparently they suck at charging cards. 11 months later, I'm partying like it was 2012 for ATF Stamps.

Nice! Congrats, guys! With those dates, my MPX ought to be coming back approved soon.

The Recce 5 is going on a lightweight 11.5 build I did for my wife. The Recce 7 is going on another 11.5 build for me. Since these will essentially be dedicated suppressed builds, I'm using the BRT gas port inserts, so I'm interested to see how that works out.

I'll post build specs and pics in the appropriate threads. Hers is complete minus a Scalarworks/T2 combo and Arisaka light/mount combo. Mines in pieces currently waiting on my CMR handguard to arrive.

We're doing test and tune on hers this afternoon...

I picked my Sig MPX up from my dealer Saturday. It was six days shy of eight months door to door. As for the MPX itself, after nearly eight months of waiting i'm slightly underwhelmed. Maybe it's the shitty trigger puts in these things...

Maybe that upcoming Geissele trigger for the MPX will cure you of your woes.

If I didn't get a deal on the MPX I probably wouldn't have purchased mine. Sucks suppressed, heavy for its size, and crap trigger as you already mentioned. I don't get why people love this thing. Must be a lot more fun with F/A

Back when i bought my MPX, i'd read in a thread someplace where Mr. Bill Geissele himself said the SSA should function just fine in the MPX. So, i bought a Geissele SSA to drop in my MPX when i finally got the stamp back. Since then, Geissele has warned against using any of their triggers in the MPX, hence the MPX specific trigger they are working on. So i'm hoping Geissele doesn't rape consumers too badly on the price for the MPX trigger. In fact, they ought to be cutting those who purchased other Geissele triggers for their MPX prior to them advising against it a deal on a MPX specific trigger. Geissele makes a great trigger, but prices for the HK MR556 trigger, etc. border on obscene. Granted, it's a niche market. But $465 for a trigger? Jesus...

As for the rest of the MPX, it's serves the purpose i bought it for, which was to own a pistol caliber carbine. I'd rather have the MPX than some cobbled together pistol caliber AR that i spend more time trying to get running than actually shooting. I haven't shot it suppressed yet, as i'm still waiting on the stamp for the can i'm going to use. Hopefully it doesn't suck suppressed too badly, as that was part of the draw for me. And i like it a little better now that i've removed that awful pistol grip Sig shipped it with and installed a Magpul MOE K2, and changed out the collapsing stock for a folder.

If you haven't shot a MPX Suppressed, you're in for a real treat... the kind of treat where your head is in a lead death cloud the entire session.

BTW, I also thought it was odd that at first they advertised any drop in AR trigger would work in the MPX, and now suddenly they are not recommending a Geissele? Weird.
