No, it has a July 9th submission date, but the ATF wanted pictures of this gun first, so the pending date got pushed back to August 20th or so.

3 separate submitted SiCo Hybrids with "submission date" of July 12th 2016

Two were approved and received by SOT/FFL on 05/03/17

Last one (mine) still in process

BATFE said they were currently working on 300,000 applications.

41F was 7/13/16, right? So, this tells me they are getting close to working through the pre-41F filings. Isn't the general view that there was a sizeable surge and that we should expect to see wait times start coming back down once they are through that surge? I ask because I am hopeful as I'll be dropping a couple of forms in the coming weeks.

Spread out among 35-odd examiners = job security. Is it time for that coffee break yet?

It'll be stuck on July for eternity, but yeah, after that's over, the rush went flat and times should improve drastically. If you live that long...

    Transfer Times

I'll be tempted to get another can if wait times drops to 6 weeks after the surge is processed. I'm sure the entire suppressor market will see some uptick at that point.

Consider that I submitted a different form 1 on June 25 last year and it was approved February 28. 16 day difference in submission added almost 4 more months to the approval time. They're going to be stuck on July for awhile, I would think.

My stamp serial number was barely legible, it must be like a signing assembly line.

Having conducted more than my share of background checks (it was my job before in a previous life) it really makes you wonder exactly how much 'background check' is actually getting done. Probably not a whole lot.

Unless you're dealing with people who are 100% spotless doing a background check is pretty time consuming. For those who are spotless you can have it done in 5 minutes. For others I've seen it take 6-8 weeks before you can unscrew all that stuff. For those who have anything at all... I could only imagine the royal headache somebody up there is having because of this 41F thing.

The system has more holes than swiss cheese. The 'check' is only as good as the database and half the time the database ain't that great.

Basically odds are they are just jumping through hoops as instructed.
