Yeah I was very surprised. Everything I was seeing Lee me to expect it to be another 3-6 months. To get both of these at the same time was surprising.

This is the only moment in the process that I don’t mind waiting. Time to take those ATF salaries to upgrade to automation on clearing these forms.

I wonder if the ATF is (or was) pulling people off of processing in order to deal with the whole bump fire commentary?

Maybe. Lots of contractors can still work as long as their job is funded. Often times that's monthly, quarterly, or for the FY. I have no idea how the ATF is funding the contract "examiners," but if it's at least monthly, then some processing may be happening through the 31st.

Still, no doubt some slow down will occur.

Funny things is I've actually got 3 other stamps in front of this one (two Form-4s, one more Form 1), so I hope those start hitting soon. Now I need to order a stock for my MPX.
