Finally got the call from Rainier that my stamp is in for my Surefire SOCOM RC2

Form 4, Trust
Papers sent in on 7/28/2019
Check Cashed 8/8/2019
Stamp at dealer 6/6/2020

314 days of waiting. Will see if I can make it to Rainier tomorrow to pick it up.

But it is actually worse:
Ordered from Botach on 3/22/2019
Botach requests FFL for xfer on 4/16/2019
Had to speak to Botach again on 5/9 for status update as their NFA group dropped the ball on the Form 3
Shipped from Botach to Rainier on 6/20/2019
Received at Rainier on 6/26/2019
Rainier acknowledged receipt on 7/16/2019

So, add 116 days from order until the item received at local dealer.

Total time from order placed to stamp at dealer: 442 days

Picked up the can. Stamp was approved/issued on 4/21/2020, so about 45 days to receive the stamp after approval. That's ridiculous.

That e-file system was designed by an idiot.

IIRC, you can chose whoever you want. DOJ, State Police, sheriff, local municipality if you are in city limits. My last one went to Bob Ferguson's office.

Send it to the Sheriff.

That happened to the first one I sent to the AG but I think they stopped doing that. The ATF says I have to notify an agency, not handle their mail.

That said, I think some enterprising government employee finally realized it takes as much effort to forward the notifications to a different agency as it does to return them to sender.

It doesn't really matter. eForm 1s are quick by the very nature of how the system is designed.
