Oh, I've just been out on the road building my legend since October. I'll be moving back to Lansing/Detroit in a month or two though. I'm hoping to have more time for stippling once I settle back down for awhile. But then, being in management has never allowed me much spare time.

I always think of stippling as equal parts experience/know-how and Artistic ability. I'm lacking heavily on the later or I'd try my hand. I'd end up with a functional but fugly frame

Grab some pmags and get a feel for it on those first. When I started out I got a bunch of a2 grips from my local gunsmith that were left over from parts kits from his various builds. Those taught me a lot about controlling the thermal side of stippling.
I always thought I merely had the soul of a poet. Stippling held my hand through the baby steps to artistry. Give it a try, you might surprise yourself.
