Its just the amax you have to worry about

I now mostly shoot 69gr smk's as the gun just shoots them better ,and have a bunch of 77gr noslers to play with and other new powders to me to play with TAC, AA 2520, the tac and 77;s are suppose to be a great load...

I've had good luck with my Nosler 77 HPBT with TAC. In my bolt gun, I'm getting great results with AA2520 behind Nosler 69 HPBT.

Cool, ya i have "heard" that a certain 77gr load with a certain grain amount of tac is/ if not the same or next best thing the the MK262 ammo..

I need another bolt gun, would like to play with some 80 and 90grainers

That's pretty long for an AR. Max length is 2.26" so you've only got .005" of wiggle room...can make packing mags a little tedious. Unless you crimped them, I might press them down to 2.245"...Thatll put the case neck smack dab in the cannelure

Usually do 2.250 but allow .01 tolerance. Although if I have loaded up to 2.285 for precision style rounds. Mag can take a 2.290 round if required. Learned this with my WLV rounds.

I was thinking about pressing them a bit further but I'm new to this and don't wanna make anything go fubar. If you think
I'll be safe to go to 2.245 with 24.3g, so it shall be. Only loaded up a few just to test anyways, so it's not like I'll have to sit and press hundreds of rounds again. No crimp yet. My FCD is on the way

One of my 55gr fmj/plinker loads uses a H335 load of 24.2grs at 2.225 which for my trim depth is mid cannellure on the bullet, i only light crimp my 55's dont on the 77's. No problems with these, not any presuure signs, im also only using cci 450 mag primers....I really like how AA2230 meters and shoots now,i also use h335 but its definetely dirtier.

In all sounds like you will be fine. I load my 77's at 2.250 and dont have problems, but those are non cannelure also.

Have a few loads I like to play with, obviously use data at own risk:

    Accuracy Load
75gr Hornady Match BTHP OAL 2.26" PMAG Magazine length
LC 09 HS Brass all matched and trimmed to 1.752"
    18.5gr VV N120
    Wolf/S&B Small Rifle Primer
    No Crimp

Sierra MatchKing 80gr OAL 2.26" PMAG Magazine length
LC 09 HS Brass matched and trimmed to 1.752"
    18.0 N120
    S&B Small Rifle Primer
    No Crimp

    Plinking Load
Hornady 55gr FMJ BT w/cannelure OAL 2.23" Middle of Cannelure
Mix HS Brass trimmed to 1.752"
    26gr CFE223 or 22.0gr H335 or 23gr Varget
    Wolf Small Rifle Primer
    Lee Factory Crimp

    Varmint/Plinking Loads
Nosler Varmageddon 55gr HPFB OAL 2.250
Mix HS Brass trimmed to 1.752"
    27gr CFE223 or 24gr Varget
    S&B/Winchester Small Rifle Primer
    Lee Factory Crimp

    Hornady A-Max 52gr BT OAL 2.250
Mixed HS Brass trimmed to 1.752"
    28.0gr of CFE223 or 27.0gr Varget
    Compressed Load
    S&B/Winchester Small Rifle Primer
    Lee Factory Crimp

    Hornady V-Max 52gr BT OAL 2.250
Mixed HS Brass trimmed to 1.752"
    20.0gr N120
    S&B/Winchester Small Rifle Primer
    Lee Factory Crimp

Varmint loads are basically as hot as your barrel will allow you to shoot accurately without pressure signs on the brass. Results on small/predatory game is devastating.
