For most of my .223 these days I've been doing 26.5 gr of CFE 223 w/ a 55 gr Hornady FMJ @ 2.220 OAL. All my AR uppers love it. In .40, I do a 180gr cast lead flat cone nose w/ 4.4 gr IMR PB @ 1.125 OAL, VERY soft shooting. Still working on a 9x19 load I like--124's were too blasty w/ Power Pistol, now switching to 147's w/ Titegroup and working out issues w/ crimp and OAL, was getting some keyholes out of the last batch

My go to accuracy load is LC brass and cci primers with 24.6gr of RL-15 under any of the 75/77gr match bullets. TAC, if you can find it anymore, works well also around 24gr.

As always, work up your own loads.

Anyone getting any accuracy from 69 or 77gr bullets and h335? I need to cook up some heavier loads for my 18" gun, and there was no varget available locally, so I picked up some h335. I was able to muster about 2moa out of factory loaded 55gr vmax, but I'm sure the gun is more accurate than I am.

last year when pickings were thin i tried some 69gr SMK's and H335...Compared to my pet load for 69gr smk's - (24.9 grs of varget)

I ran a mid 23 grain load , if i remember correctly. it was decent accuracy but not great.this was out of my 18" rainier match..Much dirtier load and probably a 1.5-2 MOA load at 100 yards...the varget load is under a moa for me out to 200 so far.

Yeah, I need to get some varget or TAC, but I can't find any locally. I'll have to check some shows next month. Bought h335 for plinking loads but figured I'd ask about accuracy since I have that powder already. I'll save it for the 55gr fmjs

Ya i would save the h335 for plinkers...

For me and my guns i get way better results from 55gr/AA2230 powder then the h335...i think its cleaner also...meters very well, which makes it nice as i use a hornady powder measure. Which it drops within a tenth of a grain..which is plenty fine for blastin ammo..which shoots right at a MOA for me..about 2 MOA with the h335 loads...

Just rambling....Oh and cabelas had a ton of TAC on the shelves.........i didnt pick any up as i have a small stash of it already..lol...i havent seen varget for a very long time..have a little in reserve...did pick up a pound of 8208 XBR last week to try out some heavier loads with..

For all your reloaders, where's the cheapest place you buy your components from? I have a about 1500 federal primers, and 1000 cci's. Mainly looking for cheap bullets, because they pickins are slim here in MD.

For varmints, I shoot 50grn Z-Max bullets with 26 grains of Varget under them, great accuracy with them, the same load works for Combined technologies 50 grain bullets.

I load 69grn SMK's for anything past 300 yards, those get 25.3 grains of Varget.

Plinking I load 55grn FMJs from Xtreme bullets, also burning Varget. I forget what charge I use, I don't shoot a lot of them.
All .223 loads get loaded to 2.255 C.O.A.L.
For 45acp I shoot 200grain Bayou Bullets, 4.6 grains of Scot Solo1000, I scored 18 pounds of that old stuff. I also load the same bullets with WST.

As far as bullets, are you interested in match rifle ammo like SMKs and Nosler CC's or 55gr FMJ plinkers?

For all plinking bullets, I buy from Xtreme Bullets. 9mm, .45 (I buy plated pistol bullets) jacketed 223....I wait til they have a sale or free shipping and place a big order. Usually come out with 55gr FMJs around 8 cents per and 9mm (147gr RN) in the low $40s per 500. .45 is around $50/500 for 230gr.

For match bullets, .308 and .223, I find them locally at Sportsmans Warehouse at a better price than PSA locally as I live around Columbia SC. Sportsmans sells Sierra and other major brands online

I pulled one of the ten rounds fired but the others were pretty tight.

    Same load listed earlier:
    52gr Nosler Custom Competition
    22.5gr Alliant Reloder 10x
    2.250" OAL
    CCI BR4 primer
    LC Brass

Shot from my .223 bolt gun @ 100yds

I also get pretty good results from 21.5gr of IMR 4198
