Anybody here from the El Paso Texas area? I just moved to here and I'm looking for places to shoot and people to shoot with.

Yes indeed. I've changed addresses five or six times here in the past two months. I'm in El Paso to stay for awhile though. I should be back at my stippling within the week.

I don't know the ELP area very well (other than a 3 week detachment in Las Cruces), but you're now in the realm of BLM land with lots of open space. I'd research nearby places in NM and TX that are BLM and just go shoot out in the open. It's far more enjoyable than a range.

I'll definitely check out public land for places to shoot. I've already spent a long time just hanging out shooting the bull in the gun shops here. I'll have to ask about BLM land next time I'm in one.

Very little public land in Texas. Contact TPWD about type II land.
