Sadly it would be pointless to own in Minnesota. We can have pistols, but not sbrs without a stupid amount of paperwork. And most LEOs won't sign the form 1

SBRs are completely legal in Minnesota. The paperwork requirement is no greater in Minnesota than in any other state, and less than many. State registration is not required, only Federal, just like everywhere else. As to LEO's signing off, that varies by LEO. Harder to do in the Twin Cities, a trivial exercise out-state.
