We have a restaurant here called Pickles Place. They are the only restaurant I've ever known that serves batter dipped deep fried pickles. MMmmmmmmmmmmmm....... I don't know what brand of pickles they use but those things are so good I don't care

Claussen pickles are the best, period.
However, for a good 'fried' pickle, ya need the cheap Dollar Store pickle chips, a bag of corn meal, and a decent beer.
Double-dipped, and deep fried.
Best served with a glass of Spaten.

I do my own beer batter fried pickles also, using Bisquick+beer+Sriracha then dust w/ flour+cornmeal+creole seasoning. Deep fry then serve w/ remoulade.

It's never too late to add to your, ahem, pickle palette. The thing with Claussen and other coldcase pickles is that , since they haven't been cooked during pickling, they're supposed to be crunchier. I just found a brand called Bubbies that taste kind of like sauerkraut, they're awesome. The Mrs. keeps yelling at me to quit buying pickles/olives/etc.

You folks ever heard of Wickles? I find them ridiculously addictive. Dill-hot, crunchy and heart burn inducing. I have to order them by the case to get the local store to order them. Totally worth it though.

Yeah, they're bread and butter style. Sweet up front, heat starts to hit you after about the third slice.
