Calengor, the photos are phenomenal!!! I love WW II era planes. I was a world War I and World War II aviation geek growing up through high school. The plane you thought might be a Wildcat is actually a Douglas A-1 Skyraider. The Skyraider was used in the Korean War and Vietnam. Next to it as you said is the Grumman TBF Avenger torpedo bomber. The Grumman F4F WIidcat is the single seater to the right of the PBY. To the right of that plane, closest to the door, is a Chance Vought F4U Corsair. I've not been to that particular museum, although we go by there every year going to the Outer Banks. I may have to take an extra day next year and check it out. Thanks for the beautiful pictures!

Thanks for the ID's on all the planes! Definitely worth checking out if you're into that stuff.

Awesome photos! I would love to go to that place. My girlfriend's sister lives in VA. Maybe I can convince her to go next time we visit.
