My ar 15. very slow build
Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum joined for stickmans give away and realized this is a pretty good group. I got my ny compliant stag 5.56 a few weeks ago, yes thanks to the safe act my "evil" gun has to have this rifle stock to be legal in ny. Plan on keeping my build mild unless by some crazy chance I win something cool out of the giveaway, mainly a nice scope trigger eventually I'd like to have hydrographics. I'll put a pic up once I find out how too from my phone

Welcome - to put pics up you have to upload them somewhere on the net like photobucket then use the image icon in the menu options when you post and just add the web address of the picture there.
As for making one in NY - well, I feel sorry for you. The stock is going to be your biggest downside - that plus having to use only a 10 round mag and you CAN'T have a flash hider or any muzzle device either. So, you have to use a bull barrel. Nobody seems quite certain that if you permanently attach a thread protector that it will actually meet the stupid law.
Sorry you live in such a screwed up state. I'll stay here in Idaho I think.

Thanks guys. Yes the safe act sucks but there's been word of it being removed hopefully before it gets worse. I haven't found perfect info on what's legal in ny I believe muzzle breaks are aloud if they are pinned or clamp style.

I have built a few kalifornistan legal AR`s & Kalashnikov`s for myself & a relative. Not sure on the Ny un safe law specifics
You may want to check out monsterman grip & solar tactical`s grip wrap.
http://monstermangrip.com/
http://shop.solartactical.com/SOLAR-...BUILDS_c19.htm
Another source that I see people using is Exlie machine
https://www.exilemachine.net/shop/ex...adapter-1.html
I can tell you for sure an ambi selector is a must when using the monsterman grip.
Good luck! Keep fighting! We have been going through this crap for years here in kali.Any help I can provide to you with just ask.

Thanks man. It all depends on the upcoming election for us I have hope there's gonna be new powers that are going to retract the safe act. I'm about to start making a paracord sling for it I should be ordering the stuff tomorrow, after that the next order will be a free float rail, then the optics will take a little longer because I want a good set up and ik that is talking a larger amount of cash then I'm ready to spend yet.

This is true. It must be a true "featureless" build. Only a detachable magazine that can accept no more than 10 rounds. You could technically permanently affix the magazine or chance the AR mag lock or AR MR2 but NOTHING has been set in stone as compliant. It all will be determined by the first arrest/court case. After the election in November we will see. If its Cuomo we are screwed. Astorino we have. A chance.

Thanks guys i wasn't sure of the new rules with them, man I'm praying for astorino and moss. I just read an article on cuomos next proposal for safe act 2 and it's so unjust, cutting pistol permits to expire every 2 years, requiring insurance policys it's insane. He's gotta go
