    Allen Engineering suppressors?

I ran across Allen Engineering in a search for vendors selling Ops Inc No. 12 suppressors. I am an OTB suppressor fan for several reasons not applicable to this question.

Does anyone have experience with AE suppressors? Their AE22 and AEM5 cans look like purpose built similarities to Ops Inc; including the collar alignment system for SPR contour barrels.

If I start paperwork on this suppressor it will limit me to using all OTB style barrel adapters (which isn't a crutch), so I am trying to dig up the most info on these cans possible.

Also, my search for Ops Inc vendors continues so if any knows some sites please let me know. Thank you.

    Cheers,
    Nate

Usually the guys are all over the NFA stuff. I have no experience with any NFA item at all.
    Just a regular guy.

Wow, I didn't know that about either company. I have an Ops... Model 12?, something like that... And always thought about getting one of their little stubby cans which I think would mate up to my mount.

That explains the glaring similarities between Ops and AE. Their prices are good.

I know this is a couple weeks old, but another reflex suppressor design worth considering (unless you're building an Ops Inc specific clone) is by Griffin Armament:

    7.62

    5.56

Newer designs, excellent performance, and they're available

Thanks for the post. Unless something drastic changes my mind, I'll be sticking with the Allen Engineering approach. But if Griffin catches my fancy I may have my 7.62 long gun muzzle turned for that one.
