Anyone bend their own kalashnikov flats ?

Awhile back I bought a Polish underfolder parts kits & a couple receiver flats. Has anyone built a rifle this way? Any help appreciated. I have looked for build parties in my area but not found any.

Without a bending die it is hard to do properly. It is much easier to buy a pre bent 80% receiver. Some of the flats are predrilled to finish dimensions and when bending the flats the holes close to the bends oval out. You will also need to properly heat treat after bending. Some only heat treat around the holes. The correct way is to quench harden the entire receiver.

This die is the one I use. Works very well with their flats as they drill the holes undersized and then you ream to finished dimensions after folding the flat.

I was told the same for heat treating the whole receiver from a local builder.
    Thanks Sinner =)

I so want to do this...

But I'm missing a press, riveting tool and furnace for heat treating...
