We got some of the new Black Hills 77gr TMK loads in.

Hoping to hit the range tomorrow to get some chronograph and accuracy results. That .420 (G1) BC dough!

Is anyone else as excited about these as I am?

Tuning in for the results. I need to get some 69's and 77's for my gun and see what it likes.

Same, definitely need to get some 77gr for accuracy testing on a few barrels.

I've shot a lot of both, and both seem to fly well for me. I think my SPR likes the 75gr Hornady BTHPs better though (Black Hills also).

I have a box of 77gr SMKs that I was going to load up, but I might just sell/trade those off for the TMKs instead, if they release the components anytime soon.

I was hoping to go yesterday or today, but it's been raining and windy I doubt I'll get optimum temps (it will probably be in the 50s when I go), but that's what I have to deal with this time of year in Northern Ohio. I'll then be taking them out to hunt coyotes and white tail deer later next month.

Hmm... PSA had 500 75gr hornadys on sale for 85 bucks last weekend and I passed on it.

And 50's is what I'm dealing with too. It was 50 and windy Sunday when I shot my SPR for the first time with the new scope. Not ideal but shooting is shooting.

Forgive me, but I'm not read in on these... What's the difference/make up of the "tip" of the TMK compared to the "OTM" tip of the SMK?

    From their press release:

"The sleek polymer tip on these new MatchKings increases the Ballistic Coefficient (BC) to an incredible .420 on the 5.56mm 77 grain and .535 on the .308 175 grain. These impressive BCs provide improved external ballistics with less drop and wind drift. In addition, the new tip design improves terminal performance by providing more uniform on-target performance compared to standard open tip match bullets."

Wow...very interesting. When my MK262 stash runs low, I'll have to look into these. I'm thinking of doing another Magpul SPR class next year, so that may be sooner than later.

I got these just in time, as my MK262 stash is low as well.

I just got back from the range, and the results were impressive. I'll share more once I get my range report done.

Sweet, in to hear what the results were...did you get a chance to shoot them over the chrono?

I sure did. I averaged 2736fps out of my 18" SPR, which is close to their 2750fps claimed velocity. The stuff shot awesome for me. I think with a slightly better rest, I could shrink these groups down some more. I was shooting off of my Atlas bipod with a homemade squeeze sock at the rear.

    Here's a link to the report: http://ar15hunter.com/range-report-b...56mm-77gr-tmk/

100 yards, best 5-shot group of the day.

200 yards, best 5-shot group (I shot this group rather fast too).

I too am hoping they release the projectiles soon. I've got some RL15 stashed away, which will be perfect for these.
