Now UW will have to upgrade...
I'd love to upgrade them all, but I probably have like 40+ weapon lights and ... yeah... no for me.

I was just outside messing with my new E2 HT. I'll definitely be buying another of these plus an E1 to replace my old 1 cell Malkoff head.

Just received my E1HT head from Malkoff yesterday, and also the host body, mount & a tail switch from Arisaka. Seriously impressed with the amount of throw I get from this thing, especially powered by just one CR123A. Noticeably less spill than Gene's regular heads (as expected), but still sufficient for indoor room clearing use with plenty of reach for outdoor PID.

Dude it wasn't long ago I was telling some new guy on the dept that when I started, SF 60 lumen lights were the shit. We were all using the old Streamlight SL20's and Maglites, all incandescent bulbs, and somehow made it work ok. Light technology has come so far in the last couple of decades. I still have a couple of SF Incandescents floating around somewhere.

300 lumens still seems so bright to me!

See that tells me I need to upgrade. I'm still using a 10 year old Surefire Miniscout that I can't even remember the lumens on. Like 160 I think.

How do the Malkoff heads hold up to muzzle blast? I was able to keep mine back but the one I just put on my kids rifle is gonna take some abuse...

So far not bad, I haven't seen any more issues with the Malkoff with taking blast than an SF head. The CMT ZCOMP pictured above however, throws very little concussion to the sides though.

I have one of the E1 Malkoff heads that's been mounted about level with the end of an A2 flash hider. The anodizing has a little discoloration from muzzle blast and the lens has one slight foggy area from the same. Neither seems to have affected function in any way.

Will was kind enough to let me try out the new E2HT head on a 600 series body. First 600 body I've gotten to play with too.
