Thanks for posting that picture. Interesting how they set it up. It wouldn't be difficult at all to make a modified scout body that accepts M60 drop ins and uses the Elzetta bezels. Or make our own bezel. No big deal on the lathe to run those.

Thank you! And yes...lots of people waiting it seems, including me. I'm trying to buy some in bulk for complete lights. Last time I emailed Gene it was "soon" but someone posted on m4c that it will be "weeks" until they are in.

I don't think Walt and I intend to become a full-fledged light manufacturer. It wasn't really the direction we wanted to take with Arisaka. A collaboration might be a better route.

When we get to the m600 scout bodies it shouldn't to very difficult to make a variant that accepts elzetta heads. Then it'll be possible to throw one of their AVS heads on the front for $115 and have a really nice light for decent cost.

I guess it's possible. It would have to also encase a second battery. The elzetta AVS heads won't run off a single cell. Or, they probably do, but they're going to be dimming as the battery drains since it would be past regulation.

Might not look very pretty, either. The simplest, most reliable (due to lack of extra o-rings/threads), and best looking solution would still be a dedicated scout body that takes elzetta heads and surefire tail caps.

Perhaps an adapter for the m600 length bodies to accept elzetta heads instead of a whole separate part. Hmmm!

I don't own a Scout light, but I've got a UE07 on the way. Until Malkoff get their heads back in stock I can't do much with it, but I'll get a couple photos up soon.

Two cell. Can't do a one cell unless Elzetta wants to sell alpha bezels/drop-ins separately. I feel like offering it in a two cell version will appeal to a wider array of users, since it will allow the light to work with the AVS heads in addition to the standard heads.

Another new item we're releasing this week is a little optic leveler tool. There are others that work in a similar manner on the market, but most are very expensive, built in to mounts, or only work on Picatinny rails. Our design is made to work on one piece mounts, since most people don't use stand-alone rings on AR15s. It can work on a Picatinny rail, too, of course.

If you're not familiar with how these work, you place your scope in your mount/rings and tighten it down to take up the slack, but leave it loose enough so you can still rotate it by hand. You then place the leveler base directly under the turret cluster and slide the wedge in from the side. The matching angles on the wedge and base cause the wedge to rise upwards, until it hits the turret cluster and levels the scope. You can then tighten one ring, remove the leveler, and tighten the other ring. If your scope is of decent quality and the reticle is aligned with the turret cluster, you're all set.
