Another optics question--Proper Mount
In the course of my build I had to select an optic. I already bought it, and made a choice as to what I thought would be the best bang for the buck (for now).
Later up the road I might invest in a more costly optic.
I got this:

Now my question is about proper mounting.
I don't want to scrimp on the scope rings... and just one option that I see is made by Seekins.
They have 30mm scope rings that look pretty good.
Yet they come in various heights.

What is the proper mounting style/height for this kind of optic on an AR platform?
I am way out of my league here folks. Someone please chime in.

My stock is a Magpul ACS-L Carbine Stock.
The AR will be flat top.

Any other kind of scope rings/mounts will be fine too... I don't have a preference other than it not be cheap Chinese knock off crap that will strip out. But not quick release. Not so much my thing. (For now)
They don't have to be expensive, just effective.

For the money, if I were you I would go with a scope mount to take a lot of the guesswork out.
Aero Precision makes an affordable 30mm mount as your optic had a 30mm tube

That looks excellent!!
I have never mounted a scope on an AR platform (on other rifles yes, but not an AR) and seeing how it's configured differently I don't know what the hell I am doing. I am simply lost.
I will definitely take a close look at your recommendation for sure. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go single piece mount or two rings.... not sure if it matters for the kind of optic and the platform.

In this video he's using the same exact scope with the same exact mount.

Get the aero. It's light. It's solid. Everything you need, nothing you don't. I just put one on my 18" build that I finished two weeks ago. One word of advice though, get the SPR length, it will serve you better in the eye relief department. My extended model was VERY close to leaving the rear end of the scope too far back for me to acquire a good sight picture.

I don't think I'd go with 2 rings on it. A single ring mount or a dual ring mount will work. Vortex has a cantilever 30mm mount for their Strikefire red dots that's certainly affordable. It should work with that Bushnell too. I'd take a measurement of the mounting area to be sure that it wouldn't interfere with the adjustments.

I almost never see two individual rings on an AR. Maybe for a long barrel hunter. That Aero looks like a great budget mount. Later, if you feel the urge to splurge, consider the extended Bobros. IMO worth the extra over ADM. Many swear by Larue, but the way it grates on the rail also grates on me.

For reference, the mount in the pic I posted is the extended model, the first length you posted. It is all the way forward on the upper, and the scope is as far forward in the rings as it could go. The SPR model extends the front and back rings out one inch to give you additional room to move the scope to where it needs to be for you.

Thanks a million you guys...

That may prove a bit more difficult. I haven't found one online yet, I was looking to swap my extended out.
Call Aero in the morning and ask them if they have any idea when they'll be back in stock, or if they have any idea how to track one down. I've heard their CS is very pleasant to work with.
