Help/question on a 10.5 barrel (possible) deal

So, a guy I know locally is selling a .223 wylde, 10.5 gov profile barrel (carbine gas length) and said I could have it for $90.
He's unsure of the manufacturer.

Sent me some pics and it looks like it's in good shape. Does it look like a melonite bore/chamber? Only barrels I have experience with have been chrome lined so I am not sure how a melonite barrel looks (though I know function will be fine).

While $90 seems like a deal, would be if this is an untreated steel barrel?

To me this looks a little "rough"...

I have no personal experience with them, but know people who do, and say they barrels from masdefense are great for the cost. 10.5" in HBAR or m4 profile, 1x7 1x8 or 1x9, 5.56 or .223 wylde chambers, chrome moly or stainless, $109-$119.

It's probably simply a parkerized barrel. However, it should be good for up to around 5,000 rounds or a little more. I would take my dremel with the small wire brush attachment on slow speed to it and polish up the feed ramps and chamber is all. $90 isn't a bad deal. You won't be able to tell from the barrel really if it's melonited/nitrided or simply parkerized. Heck, if it was 7.62x39 I'LD buy it for that price just to complete my gun!
