WTS/WTT: My BCM 10" KMR for your Geissele SMR
I'm looking to sell or trade my 10" BCM KMR for a Geissele SMR. I don't care which version of the SMR or color, just that it is the 9.5-10.5" length.
I've got the handguard, barrel nut, barrel nut wrench, 2x keymod rail sections (original BCM polymer that came with the rail), mounting hardware and a Naroh keymod handstop.
The only thing that needs to come with the SMR is the barrel nut, but a rail section would be a plus. I've got a Mk4, so I have a wrench.
The only real mark is a corner on the barrel nut that is dinged up from removing the nut. Otherwise, very little signs of use, but being listed as used
I'm willing to sell it outright for $200 shipped SOLD. I will except Paypal (family/friends or +3%) or USPS money orders.

What length barrel were you using wuth this rail? I'm running a 10.5" and the BCM website says the actual length is 10.5" measured to the flare (whatever that is). I'm using a Spikes Barking Spider II as my muzzle device and would need to make sure the barrel threads were exposed enough to get the device back on. Thanks for the info!

I had a 10.5" Aero Precision barrel on the upper. The "flare" is the front of the handguard on the sides.
In the picture below you can see how the sides extend further forward than the top and bottom. If you muzzle device doesn't fit under the handguard, you may want to look at the 9" KMR.

I'll look to see if I have any photos that give a better representation of how close the rail is to the end of my barrel.
I can tell you I had to attach the A2 hider before I installed the rail. I wouldn't have been able to get a wrench in there. I'm thinking the KMR 9" would be better for you.
Also, if you haven't looked at this thread, it has the start of a decent list of handguard true lengths.

I could use a strap wrench to put the device back on, I just don't want it to "crash" into the rail; that's the part I'm worried about. And thanks for the link!

If your wanting something similar to the Spikes muzzle device that will work with that rail you may want to consider a Noveske KX5. The KX5 has an external diameter of 1.2" and was designed to fit inside of smaller rails like the NSR. Another plus is the KX5 weighs in at 4.5oz opposed to the Spikes at 9.4oz.

That is an idea, but there' just one drawback...if all goes as planned, I'll be needing Silecerco muzzle devices in the next 6 months. I'm supposed to be ordering 2 new suppressors by the end of the week. I'm looking for a rail that will be about the same diameter as the suppressors and not have a big gap between the end of the rail and the bottom of the suppressor. I've got a Seekins/Radical Firearms 12" rail on my pistol right now. It's ok, but is somewhat larger in diameter than I like and I'm not totally pleased with the asthetics. The Spider fits inside it, but doesn't go much past the end of the rail. I thought I had it figured where it woould stick out further, but I figured wrong. Math was never my forte. So, I guess it's back to the drawing board. Thanks guys!
