I'm kind of interested in grabbing one for an upper that doesn't have anything at the moment.
You're only going to see (slightly) added wear on the forward most side of the receiver.
The rear side already gets wear as you let the charging hand "slam" home.

So take a look at how much wear is on the rear side, that's how much you're going to get on the front side.... Not much.

I doubt the wear on the upper would be anymore than a regular charging handle. The difference between this Mega and a conventional charging handle is that the latch is rounded instead of being kinda hook shaped, so that you don't have to disengage the latch with a lever. But I haven't used one, so that's my speculation.

The only problem with this theory is that the rear surface that you are referring to that the latch slams into when you release the CH is angled to exactly match the latch face's angle as they meet, so as not to wear, thus implying that wear is a consideration in this area.

It looks like the Mega Arms handle is just a tiny bit smaller. Is that correct?

After having pinched my fingers numerous times on BCM mod 4/5 charging handles, I'm ready for these, too.
