Most likely because MEGA is a "bigger name". Also, this one is all metal. No polymer.

It shouldn't matter as long as its a quality item. 7075-T6 and hard anodizing are what they are, pretty much, within reason. Just looking at the physics of it and noting the evasion from MEGA, Dealers, etc., I have held out for first-hand reports. Thanks!

Before moving and getting into the plastics industry I was a CQE for a large metal stamping/forming/CNC shop that did DOD contract work, so coatings and material hardness isn't new to me. Hopefully I can take some of that and apply it here

I did wet sand the face/angle of the latch some so I'll see how that does

I'm liking it so far. Wear seems to be minimal after some dry practice in the house, a couple dozen mags and some various reload drills.

Locks up real tight

Here's a pic of my upper after 500 manual cycles with the Slide Lock CH. The second picture, the shaft definitely has visible wear.
