I assumed so, I am still waiting on a non reciprocating side charging upper that keeps the assembly all internal. Not really digging the FAL type ones where the cover slides with the CH. Pretty sure with my luck I would be the one to smash the hell out of myself on the reciprocating ones.

I've done it (on an ak?, can't remember). What I do remember is that it does not feel good.

Contact Mega. They had some in the initial run with weak springs. They will replace it.

Jason from Mega told me he has never heard of such a thing. Wanted me to ship it back. Sure let me waste an hour of my time to ship a $55 handle back. Lesson learned with these. Into the junk box it goes.

Personally never had an issue with reciprocating charging handles. Of all my semi's the AR's are about the only ones I own that do not cycle with the bolt. I actually prefer the charging handle set up on my SCAR's to the AR design.

That features the sliding FAL type cover that I am not really liking. I dont really have a problem with a traditional CH, but I am partial to running my Styer, and it would be nice to have an AR that has a similar manual of arms. I should probably check out the ARAK system a bit more.

That looks interesting. I've seen side chargers before but I have no experience with them. It would be interesting to experiment around with it and get a feel for that kind of set up. It's definitely 'unique'.

I will give it the scientific approach for sure! LOL

Those the ones with the rounded cam pins? I saw the release photos for those a while back, really nice looking uppers.
