I like Cz, but do we really need or even want another 1911?

I want, need, and lust after another 1911, but it's a Dan Wesson Black Valor. The only rationale I can see for this one is a budget alternative to the sticker shock of the DWs. Hopefully the quality will be high enough to help rid the market of one of the crappy entry level 1911 competitors.

I really want a 1911 and I have looked at a ton of them. Tthere are some quality made beautiful pistols made out there, but I keep reverting to narrowing my search to a US Government Issue Army 1911. They are hard to find but I think when I do find one and have the $$$$ for it restoring the internals and I will have my unicorn.
Just a regular guy.

Me too. My wood gripped PCR is the most often fondled in my harem. The 1911 was my first girl though- an old Army flame who spoons in my hand so sweetly. I think I need a cold shower now.

If we could get a USA-made Evo, we definitely wouldn't have to worry about 922(r) when SBRing it. I can not wait for the Evo.
