Lets talk 308 based builds

You will need a .308 bolt catch and take down pins.

You can use an AR-15 Receiver extension, if you get a .308 buffer. I've used that combo without issues.

the buffer thing ( as i keep researching/reading) seems to go 2 ways use a std ar15 buffer and a 308 buffer, then some say no use a dedicated 308 tube and buffer, My question is there a physical difference, like in length ?

Just curious what others to look for, I see mega makes a 16" 308 barrel. and i have the baby 556 mega barrel...
