Cobalt Kinetics
One of the few items at Shot this year that stood out to me besides Sig's wankering of everything, is a product from Cobalt Kinetics. www.cobaltarms.com
When I first walked by the booth I saw some nicely machined rifles and some booth babes, but as I looked closer I saw they had double forward assists. (the rifles you pervs!) My first thought is Why the hell would anyone need that?

Well after talking to the guy he explained how its not a forward assist at all, its a bolt release. As weird as it seems it actually worked pretty well and was easy to hit from either side as the rifle is designed to be completely ambi. Its an interesting concept and they may be onto something. I thought it would interfere with charging the rifle but it wasn't bad, I think a AXTS/Rainier Raptor would be better than the CH they chose. I'm sure many may think it's a gimmick which it very well could be, but its nice to see guys thinking outside the box a bit.
TFB has a decent write up on it as well.

That looks really cool. Hopefully the pricing is decent, I know a few lefties who will be interested in it. Heck, I'm interested in it, and that lower looks pretty sharp too.
