Korean
Japanese
Northern Chinese (this is totally different than what most people envision as 'Chinese' food)
Cantonese (Hong Kong style)
Vietnamese
And believe it or not Bali (the island) has some of the best food in all of Asia. It's a stellar place to eat. There has been a booming tourism industry there so the European hotel owners brought in all these 5 star chefs to cook for hotel guests... and then they hired locals to do all the leg work... and over time the locals started intertwining this into their own style of cooking... but you can go out for $5 and eat like you're a King.

What most people see over here isn't the same thing you would get over there. In other words Panda Express isn't really Chinese LOL.

Houston though has a ton of Vietnamese. I think maybe the 2nd largest population in the US. We have a number of excellent Vietnamese places to eat at. Chinese as well. HUGE Chinese population in Houston. Hence if you know where you're going you can get some decent Chinese food.

LOL - lets be honest here, what we call "Chinese" food, we really mean "[American] Chinese food." I guess that argument could also be made for other things too ... like chocolate.

That I never knew until my Uncle pointed that out to me when he was stationed at San Antonio. .... didn't realize the Vietnamese population was that big though.
