    Any Leftys out there?

I know UW is a lefty but I am not sure about anyone else.

Anyway my dad is wanting an AR now and he shoots left handed. If anyone knows of where I could pick up the stuff for building a lefty upper that would be helpful. I knew about (I think Stag) but they got in trouble a few years ago if I am not mistaken.

Also I've never done a basement build, but that's what my dad wants. Something cheap but reliable. Info on stuff like the cheapest but most reliable RDS and all that would be helpful.

I am not sure what exactly he wants yet but I think a 12.5 inch left handed pistol would be awesome.

Stag is pretty much the lefty game. Get in before they get shut down again! :D

Stag for the bolts. The left handed barrel extensions are a joke. No need. CMT makes a Ambi pistol caliber lower also.

I started with a Stag left handed, and then proceeded to build many left handed rifles with CMT UPUR-1LH.

I think Stag has recovered from their previous blunders, and seem to make some good looking complete products.

I wasn't aware CMT made lefty stuff. That's what I'd go with, for sure.

Does anyone know anything about ToolCraft?

Apparently they make some left handed BCG as well.

They’ve been discussed on here before. Try a search.

In this case a simple gtg or not is sufficient.

In this discussion I'm more interested in the overall concept of a left handed gun and my options there.

Honestly, lefty uppers are a gimmick. What problem is left hand ejection solving for lefties? Minimal gas reduction while shooting suppressed? All while giving up commonality of spare parts like the carrier and bolt? If this your 4-5th upper and you just want one for the sake of one, go for it. There's a reason I only have 1 LH upper.

This is valuable information. We have already discussed just this topic and so far he hasn't said one way or another what he wants.
