The "ultimate" Barbie accessory.... Man, our gov needs to go to a new platform. AR folks are running out of new baubles and other shining things to hang off our rifles.

Gents,
The SABERTUBE (tm) with the BAD-LBS Lightweight Butt Stock Combo is for a specific dedicated purpose. It is not typically sold in the white/raw as it is shown in the prototype photo above. The design is a spin off from the OIP (Ounces Is Pounds) Ultralight Rifle Project (Sub 4lbs).
The entire buffer tube is CNC out of solid billet 6061T6 Aluminum and dimpled. The dimpling are 3D chamfered on the top and bottom edges. The dimples are not simply for weight savings & cosmetics but it also serves a functional purpose. We are working on a add-on cheek rest that INDEX on the holes for Forward/Rearward Positional Movement and for Left and Right Side Orientation.
The SABERTUBE (tm) is a "Mid-Length" tube that is between a MilSpec Carbine Length and Rifle Length Tube. The internals are the same as the carbine buffer tube and uses Standard Buffer Tube & Spring. The lightweight design eliminated the need for the heavy steel Castle Nut and End Plate, therefore a typical lower receiver without a captive rear takedown pin detent spring may pose a problem as there is not end plate to hold the spring in place.
There are three options if you like to use this Buffer Tube:
1. Simply tapping the thread on the lower for the takedown pin detent spring hole.
2. Use a lower receiver like the BAD556-LW lower with the captive spring.
3. Wait for our next version of the SABERTUBE to be released in about 1-2 weeks with the should cut for an End Plate (with built-in limited rotation QD).

George, since it's already a bit longer than a standard carbine RE, any plans on making one that'll work with an A5 set-up? Also, any word on the unmarked BAD-15 lowers? Not that I've been chomping at the bit or anything, I'd just like one like I like air.
