    Here's my really boring unboxing.

My impressions of this light were initially not that it was all that great. I mean, it only has momentary, on, and off settings... What more is there?

Also, the light is definitely a little big for the role of dedicated weapon light, especially one with "Compact" in its name. Although it's not unnecessarily heavy, at around 6.5oz by my scale.

That's where being unimpressed ended. This light puts out a really great amount of light for its size. It has a really great throw of light as well.

I'll be honest. I have not been nice to this light. I wanted to treat it worse than I would actually treat a light I owned, because things happen, and I am actually in the market for a good all-purpose light. So far I have thrown it, submerged it, left it on for hours at a time, dropped it from shoulder height onto my driveway, and let my 2 year old run around with it (I've actually been nervous because I tend to not be able to find things after he "plays" with them). The biggest reason I have been aggressive with this light is because I had a UTG Weapon Light that I really liked. I got it for $30 three or four years ago and it has been a good light, although MUCH too big and heavy, as well as being a battery hog. This Primary Arms Weapon Light has been so much more than that light ever dreamed of.

I'm not really an expert on these reviews, so if there are any questions or requests you guys have, let me know. I put it in the freezer for the night. I would leave it outside, but I live in south Mississippi, so that's not much of a test.

The light has been left on for more than 2 hours at once and did not show any signs of overheating. It's still super bright, even though I've left it on, on purpose, for a approximate total of 7.5 hours. I don't know what the life of these batteries are supposed to be, but that's more than impressive in my opinion, and it really shows no sign of slowing down, so I'm curious what it will actually go. We had so much fun night shooting with it, that I am probably going to take the wife this weekend.

My impressions thus far are that I WILL be buying this light. As well as a tape switch and an Arisaka mount instead of the Magpul mount.

OK. So, this will be my last "hard use" test. I put it in the freezer last night around 9:30 and poured a little water over it. I considered freezing it in a block of ice, but decided that wasn't very realistic.

I'm going to continue to enjoy the light in "regular" ways unless someone else has an idea of how they would use it that may be "extreme". Hopefully I'll get to do another night shoot with it this weekend.

Killed the battery tonight. It had a hard life. Put two new Surefire batteries in and she's back at full strength.

Agreed, good job. I didn't realize this was wrapped up. Not sure how I missed the end.
Looking to pick up something to replace my elcheapo light. Not ready for a high end light yet.

Not necessarily wrapped up. I am still using the light almost daily. I like it a lot for general use. I have decided against using it for a weapon light on this rifle though. Mainly because it is a rifle geared toward a home defense. I think this Primary Arms light would really shine on a hunting rifle. Somewhere where they could use the added battery capacity.
