How does the Nitride finish compare to NiB in terms of lubricity when the carrier starts to get excessive carbon build up on it?

Fathom Arms Standard Nitride BCG Pre Release
Saw this last night and I have been thinking about how to articulate it. The best way to describe it is "comparable". Both finishes offer lower friction and can be ran without lube. However, I do advise people to run our carriers with a little lube (even though most don't... DutyUse😃. Lube has a lower coefficient than ANY coating you use without it.
Nitride cleans great and carbon buildup comes off easily. A few members on here have our enhanced BCG and I'm sure they will verify that.
In the end, NiB is a plating. Nitride is a finish treatment. Nitride will not chip or crack and the design dimensions of parts remain as exact as they were prior to treatment.
Hope this helps and let me know if you need me to go further down the rabbit hole! 😃Premium AR-15 parts for the customer who demands reliability and quality.

I've never used nib so I have no reference to compare, but build up is negligible and slickness remains phenomenal.
I've literally had problems, if you could call it that, photoing buildup on my E-Nitride BCG as what little there is comes off as I handle the BCG. Here's what I could document after a 240 rd burn.
Here's what it looked like after I pulled it from the carbine that day. My gloves are accidentally wearing most of it now.
