Weapon evolution 50K winner DAHMER build

About a year ago there was a give away. I was fortunate enough to win a DAHMER lower. At first I was looking at a custom build. Looking at some of the rifles built on this forum, I had plenty of ideas. Well I put it in the safe and completely forgot about it. If I hadnt cleaned the safe recently it would have still been forgotten.
Fast forward to last month. I got the youngest a 80% some time ago. Over spring break I brought him to work and he got to finish his lower. He's 14 so he did not get excited till I started putting parts into it. It was at this time the forgotten lower was remembered.
Just before Easter Palmetto State Armory had there sale. I couldnt pass up there deal. Bought 2 of there midlength 16 inch kits.

    Left one is the DAHMER

In the next few weeks Ill be spending some dough so stay tuned for the transformation.

Thanks again to DAHMER and WEVO

Early models? Magpul just released that over the winter.

Is that missing the bolt extension for torquing the barrel or the o-ring post to engage the bolt carrier? Definitely different than the production model.

Yes, missing... this could of been an early prototype model. I kknow a bunch of people that do outside work for magpul. Everything I got today was free. I cant complain

Looking at what's missing on that BEV Block, that doesn't look like it would even be a good prototype. Does it even engage the barrel extension?

There is a piece missing from it that has the lugs. There were boxes of items I dug thru. Next time I get over there Ill look through them again for the missing item.

Yeah that would piss me off. That's the whole appeal of the bev block is that barrel extension part. For free I guess there's no complaining

I would imagine it's nothing but a prototype for checking the injection moulding process. Before they even started casting the steel extension in. Pretty much useless as it is.

A few updates, friend of mine built this upper. Will be trying it out later this month.
Anderson Manufacturing upper receiver with no forward assist or dust cover
MAS Defense barrel, 16", mid gas, 223 Wylde, 1:8 twist, non-chrome lined
ALG Defense 12" EMR M-lok handguard
    Aim Surplus Melonite BCG
    Standard charging handle
    A2 flash hider
Primary Arms 4-14 FFP mil/mil scope with mil-dot reticle
    Primary Arms scope mount
    Magpul M-lok bipod adapter

    Additional details:

The gas block is secured with set screws and is also cross drilled and has an 1/8" roll pin installed. Don't have to worry about it working loose.

The BCG is nitride treated inside and out. No internal chrome plating.
