All thread! (Whap forehead) Yeah. Fixture is a Geissle reaction rod so I'm GTG. I'll verify rail plane with scope bubble levels and finally get this recalcitrant beast running.

I would be lost without my Reaction rods. Make the torquing procedure so much easier.

Yes, I had an "ah, crap!" moment when I went to install a barrel this past weekend and realized I couldn't use my reaction rod because my barrel is a 6.8. My Squirrel Daddy delrin block set worked fine, though, as it is in an Aero Precision M4E1 upper (WEVO T&E) so no fiddling around with timing the barrel nut.

Anyone else notice the Erath3 logo on the barrel nut?

Looks like we know who makes the Anorexia rail.

The Reaction rod works with 6.8 too. Only the bolt face is changed. Lugs are the same and the reaction rod works as designed.

I had a feeling someone might say that. When I slid the 6.8 barrel over the reaction rod it seemed very loose / wobbly. I felt it would have worked well enough to lock the lugs to prevent rotation while I tightened the barrel nut but it wouldn't keep the assembly stable enough to work on the upper. I admit, I didn't think much on it and just switched to the vice block set as soon as I perceived the looseness. I guess I was too quick to give up!

The rods really do highlight the variations in barrel extensions don't they? I find even barrels from the same manufacturer vary greatly in the amount of play with the rod.

And the barrel without the upper on it is very loose. A lot of the support comes from the rod's fit passing through the upper. Try it with a 5.56 once.

LOL... Detective Scrapper... you get a gold star.

Like GOST mentioned, SMOS OEM's a lot of AR components. It's just recently, they decided to go with their own line of products.

Am I just lost or are the rails gone off the website now? I could have swore they had an option to buy direct besides the benefit rails.

The hits just keep on coming. Got the crowfoot and went to crank... Uh oh, you would think I'd know by now to verify measurements. Any one need a 27mm?

No biggie. I just keep getting excited to finish, then arrgh. Worse with the other interminable build I got the wrong size rail for. And extra rails are dangerous. Always begging for a barreled companion.
