I just bought a 16" 5.56 Hanson Mid-Length Barrel. A 10.5 or 11.5 would probably be a popular choice. :)

If I see deals on that it might spur me to build an SBR...

Luis if you're wanting to do a Kino upper you may want to checkout either Rainier Arms' or MicroMOA's 12.5" mid-length barrels. With those the front sight base will be in the correct place for a Kino, and you'll not need the low profile gas block.
