Was a no brainier for me. 10 miles south of where I lived. Prices are WAY cheaper. Taxes, etc. If it had been a farther move I probably wouldn't have done it.

For anyone curious this is how the UAR lines up with the battle kitty. of course the best match is the RA mod 2 upper but I already have a mod 3 matching set so I wanted something a bit different.

So has anyone tried or planning to get the kitty cerakoted? I was wondering if the engraving is deep enough. I'm concerned the paint will just cover up our feline friend.

You should still see the kitty fine. When applied properly you shouldn't have it anywhere near thick enough to hide the kitty.

Also just to help easy any fears this is from the cerakote training manual...

Remember Cerakote is applied at .001” which is very thin, most areas do not require masking, however, if you are unsure, contact NIC for assistance.

Cerakote will not cover surface scratches. I will be coating mine but it will be a while before that happens.
