His new album Black Star came out on the 8th. Really worth checking out. Bowie is my favorite artist of all time.

I've been listening to this song about 6 times a day lately.

That is awesome! The new Bowie album totally slipped under my radar, as I've been avoiding social media lately. Thanks for posting this. Deffo going to be picking it up.

Just an FYI, if you're a Sirius XM subscriber, they're running a special David Bowie channel until the 18th of January (I think that's the day it ends). It's on channel 30 and has been making my commute almost enjoyable.

Mark Knopfler is one of my all-time favorite musicians. Most will know him as the frontman for the Dire Straits. But he has a solo career that picks up where the Dire Straits left off, and has outlived the Dire Straits by a couple decades. His songwriting skills are extremely impressive (as is his unique style of guitar playing), with each song telling a story. The subject matter of his songs are as numerous as the stars in the sky, and he continues to write interesting music with a soul nearly 40 years after the Dire Straits hit the big time.

Muse are one of those bands that do an awesome job of never making the same album twice. Their sound is always changing, yet distinctly Muse. This track is from their 2009 release "The Resistance". It's one of my favorite Muse tracks and would definitely be a desert island pick.

Muse was my study jam for years back in college.

A friend of mine turned me on to "3" back in 2005 or so. I got the chance to see them play live back in 2009 and they put on a helluva show. Two full drum kits on stage. The singer/guitar player, Joey Eppard, can finger pick like nobody's business. The video isn't the best, but this is is one of my favorite "3" tracks. Best played LOUD.

Super technical speed metal isn't for everyone, but my neighbors listen to it whether they like it or not. These guys can play. And i need to practice more.

That's an awesome album! "Black Cadillac" and "Cut the Cord" are a couple of my favorites.
