    Best friend just installed one and he feels what you're saying. There is no reason one should have to use shims to time a barrel nut with all the decent handguards on the market that don't have to be timed. I remember the first Geissele handguard I installed, and thinking why don't all install like this.

    I didn't find the Parallax to be that bad. Not any more than the SMOS....

    Faxon barrel comes today so I'll get to post again here later.

    This is a total budget build with left over parts. Otherwise I'd never use MFT sights. They suck.

    Is that a polymer lower in the pic? Upper looks polymer too but I am assuming it can't be.
