    That's the plan. I bought a Dead Air flash hider for my bolt action rifle so I don't have to swap from direct thread to QD on my Omega 300. However, the threading works fine with the direct thread mount and my cheap-o thread protector (A2 Birdcage), it will not work with any other ˝"-28 muzzle device I own. I need to talk to the guy who threaded it. So that one may go on it since it actually threads on.

    Yes sir 16". And all I can say is wow. It is built out already and with 55gr it shoots 1" or less at 100. I was/am truly impressed.
